"Dutch owned a farm on Slider Run, that Daddy wanted to buy, but before buying the property we moved over there to see how Mom would like it.
One morning, Mom came into the downstairs bedroom, which was the boys bedroom, and Mom saw a large black snake stretched (from one side of the bed to the other) accross my brother Carl. Well, that day we packed up and moved back to Paden City. Needless to say, Daddy didn't buy the farm."
