Earl Raymond ("Squirrel") Holmes was born on 2 June 1915 in Gamble Run, Tyler Co, West Virginia. He and Betty Marie Billiter were married on 23 February 1945 in New Martinsville, Wetzel Co, West Virginia. He died on 27 November 1992, at age 77, in Glen Dale, Marshall Co, West Virginia. He was buried in Kendle Cem, Paden City, West Virginia.
