Vesper Ray Henderson was born on 30 June 1881 in Logan, Harrison, Iowa. He and Maude Taylor were married on 11 September 1905 in Enterprise, Wallowa, Oregon. He died on 28 January 1939, at age 57, in Asotin, Asotin, Washington. He was buried in Wallowa, Wallowa, Oregon.

Vesper was a farmer he and his family raised produce and meat for the community especially for the logging community called Maxville, which was larger at that time then the town of Wallowa. The picture of him looks like his son Vernon Arlo.

Vesper and Maude were married in Enterprise, Oregon. They determined to go to Portland Or for their honeymoon. They traveled by horse back to Elgin where they were to take the train the rest of the way. On the way to Elgin they had to cross the River at Minam. Vesper fell off his horse and was wet through and through. By the time they arrived in Portland he was very sick. Maude obtained some liniment from the lady who owned the residence where they were staying. What she didn't know is that it was horse liniment and not to be taken internaly. She gave Vesper a big dose of it and like to have killed him but by the next day he had sweat out the illiness and was just fine. From that time on she was to do a lot of doctoring for her large family and her neighbors. See notes of Maude for more information.

Mary R Billiter was born in 1827 (or 1831) in Ohio. She and John G Wiles were married. She died about 1865 in Hintington Co, Indiana. She was buried in Mt Etna Cem, Huntington Co, Indiana.

Joseph H Billiter was born in 1831 (or 1834) in Ohio. He and Rebecca Leverton were married on 27 September 1854. He died about 1865.

Nathan J Billiter was born in 1837 in Ohio. He and Narcissa Forest were married on 4 November 1858 in Huntington Co, Indiana. He died about 1865.

Drusilla E Billiter was born in 1837 in Ohio. She and Nathan Hollowell were married on 29 January 1857 in Huntington Co, Indiana. She and Linn were married on 18 December 1890. She died in 1904, at age ~67.

Henry S Billiter was born in 1841 in Ohio. He and Hannah A Pinkerton were married on 11 April 1863. He died in 1894, at age ~53.

William M Billiter was born in 1824 in Ohio. He and Arcada ("Arcinda") Blair were married. He died in 1909, at age ~85.

William is living in the Henry Vane household in Brown Co, OH, according to the 1850 census. The Vane place was adjacent to the households of Hugh and Soloman Billiter, so by his age William must be a brother.

Arcada ("Arcinda") Blair was born in 1830 in Ohio. She and William M Billiter were married.

Joseph Blair and Leah Vane. Leah was a sister to Henry Vane. They were children of William Vane (1770 Md-1849 Brown Cty, Ohio) and Arcada

children that I know of. Arthur Vane (my direct ancester), Margaret, Leah, Rosilla and Henry. Leah married Joseph Blair on 3/6/1823 in Brown Cty, Ohio. They had two daughters Levina and Arcada. Leah died before 1849. Her daughters inherited in her place when William's will was probated. Joseph eventually remarried but his two daughters by Leah stayed with William and Arcada. All I knew about Arcada Blair was she married a Billiter and went west."

Lavina G Billiter was born in 1859 in Indiana.

Narcissa Forest was born in 1837 in Ohio. She and Nathan J Billiter were married on 4 November 1858 in Huntington Co, Indiana. She was married in 1866.
