1920 census January 20 & 21, 1920 indicates Emma, son Harold, daughter in
law Marie and Lillian S. and Rose A. as living with Emma Hoosier.
DJO - I found this most interesting as Grandparents Harold and Marie had
gone to Oregon on a honeymoon after their marriage in December of 1919.
The winter was so severe in the Peace River Country in Alberta the winter
of 1919-1920 that they stayed their untilthe Spring, March, if I
remember grandfather Hoosiers writings, and then returned to the Peace
River Country in Alberta where mother, Ruth Elizabeth, wasborn that
fall, November 19, 1920. Meaning that mother was conceived in Oregon.
These people sure did travel around a lot. Harold and Marie returned to
Oregon after a disasterous hail storm, in the fall of 1920, ruined the
crops and killed most of the chickens, according to mothers memory of
what her Mother, Marie told her of that time. It would be eight years
before they returned to the Peace River Country. Glenn and Eleanor were
born in Oregon. _MENDDeath of one spouse
